Broadway Fields (Blue Square)
Local residents have told us they want Broadway Fields to feel safer, better looked after, and more enjoyable for everyone. Many people pass through it every day, but feedback from the community has told us that it is not always welcoming or well-used. Together we have an opportunity to turn this space into a place everyone can enjoy.
Over the summer, Build Up worked with community groups, young people and local residents to create a new design for Broadway Fields. These include improvements to:
- Planting and green space
- Play areas for different age groups
- Seating
- Spaces for sports and activities
We want to hear your feedback on our initial design to improve the park. Please respond by 7th November.

Free Autumn BBQ!
Join us on Broadway Fields (Blue Square) on Saturday 1st November from 12 – 3PM to:
- Meet neighbours, enjoy free food, bulb planting and children’s play activities
- See the design ideas up close
- Share your thoughts and ask questions
- Bring your skates!
ABOUT THE PROJECT
This project is led by Build Up, a London based charity supporting communities and young people to improve local spaces. So far we have engaged over 250 residents of all ages in the events and discussions about Broadway Fields to develop these proposals. Once we have heard design feedback, we will raise funds to deliver improvements.
The project is run in partnership with Lewisham Council and Glendale.
