In Autumn 2023 Build Up worked with Glamis Adventure Playground’s weekly Fire Club, where young people are supported to learn bushcraft skills. The aim of the project was to renovate the existing fire pit area, provide safe seating and cooking space, and allow it to be used in all weather.

Build Up worked with young people to come up with designs for a series of seats, a table and a new training space. The project was built with young people, with the support of Canary Wharf Contractors Limited and Canary Wharf Contractors Fund.

Lots of different colour schemes were drawn up and once the carpentry work was finished the young people worked together to combine their ideas into one scheme and paint their design.
