In 2025, Build Up worked with Glamis Adventure Playground in Shadwell to develop a design for a major rebuild of the site. Funded by Go Ape, Build Up ran several design workshops to understand what the young people wanted for the playground. This information was turned into a final design by Adventure Playground Engineers.

The project aimed to restore exciting, adventurous play and create opportunities for a wide range of play experiences for children and young people.

Build Up worked closely with young people at the playground, exploring what makes play feel adventurous, challenging and fun. Alongside consultations with staff and other stakeholders, these sessions shaped a design for the site, setting out a clear vision for the future of the playground.
