Tottenhall Rec is a park located in Enfield in northeast London. Recently, the Friends of Tottenhall Rec formed as a group of local residents with the aim improving the park for everyone.

The friends felt that there was not enough provision for young people, and that as a group and as a community, they needed to provide more for young people in the area.

Build Up were given an open brief in terms of the location of the project, and worked with between 60 and 90 young people from the local primary school to develop a space where young people could hang out, could chill, could perform, and could spend time.

The space was inspired by Parkour as an activity, and the separate pieces were designed so that young people could practice parkour on them.
